We design and implement programs that deliver healthcare, education, sanitation, and social awareness to underprivileged communities. Our efforts reach the poor, elderly, people with disabilities, and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).
Our Goals
About UsICTC Ram Rukmani Charitable Private Trust (IRRT) was founded in 2020 as the institutional successor to the ICTC Group’s longstanding commitment to social good. Rooted in the vision of its founders, IRRT upholds their enduring commitment to equity, dignity, and service.
IRRT carries forward the philanthropic legacy of Mr. Ram Lal Shrestha and Late Mrs. Rukmani Devi Shrestha, founders of the ICTC Group. Built on decades of charitable work, IRRT is dedicated to uplifting marginalized and vulnerable communities across Nepal.
The Group believes that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is as important a part as business growth; thus, the establishment of ICTC Ram Rukmani Charitable Private Trust institutionalizes CSR activities from the Group companies/owners/directors.
Read MoreIRRT’s mission is to support the poor, weak, and underprivileged segments of society who lack access to basic needs. In practice, this means prioritizing aid to extremely poor families, persons with disabilities, the elderly, orphans and vulnerable children, marginalized groups, victims of domestic abuse and gender-based violence, and patients suffering from terminal or severe illness who cannot afford care. By focusing on these groups, IRRT directly addresses inequality and social exclusion in Nepal.
We envision a just and inclusive society where every individual—regardless of gender, caste, age, ability, or cultural background—has access to fundamental rights, and opportunities to thrive.

In its initial years, IRRT concentrated operations within Kathmandu Valley, covering Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur districts, where urban poverty and inequality are pressing issues. The Valley, while relatively prosperous on average, includes various marginalized communities. By working in these communities, the Trust reaches the urban poor who might otherwise be overlooked. At the same time, IRRT has laid groundwork to expand to other regions of Nepal in the coming years. The intention is to eventually serve vulnerable populations in remote and rural areas, once required approvals and partnerships are in place. This phased geographic expansion ensures the Trust builds experience and systems in the core area before scaling out.
